Hi David, John passed about 2 years ago. He had suffered with cancer about that long. He had three churches involved in his service., New Hope, St Joseph and St. Theresa. Rev. Jeffrey from New Hope brought the eulogy. John was cremated and his daughter kept his ashes. The funersl was held at St Theresa and hundreds of people attended. I miss him dearly. He supported BDD's all the way and he loved his community. There were so many good comments said about John and a few truths. He fought for justice and wasn't afraid to express his concerns. . I am sorry you didn't know about his passing. Come by and get you some good fresh greens sometimes. Lottie.
