Our Thanks to everyone that attended the Clean Greens Harvest Dinner on Nov. 5. Because of you it was a great success. Special thanks to Tommie & Venice that managed the farm and brought in the produce, all our CSA supporters, Central Coop, UFCW Local 21 and Fork and Frame Bicycle Team. We had a great dinner with produce from Clean Greens and baked chicken and dessert from Central Coop. Michael's video about Clean Greens farm was great. All the volunteers that help with the dinner that Miss P prepared. Magie, Amanda and Brianda that helped put the event together, Rev. Jeffrey and I want to thank you. All the volunteers that helped this year and there were many, Thanks you. We look forward to a good 2012.
Note: The Clean Greens Market at 116 - 21st Ave is officially closed, but since we had so much produce left in the field, it will be open this Saturday. Come by and get you fresh greens and other items for Thanksgivings.
We are now taking orders for volunteers and CSAs for 2012 season. Thanks again for your support. Lottie 206-324-3114

Where/how do I start? I have no land and not much money, but I'm a teacher with plenty of engaged interest and purpose around this (started the first organic garden at a school for homeless kids I used to teach at, for example). And of course, this summer I have time ...
I'd like to know if you have any thing going on in Dallas, TX? A place badly (BADLY) in need of this kind of intervention (esp. my old neighborhood, which is suffering from urban blight, total disconnect from nature, a lack of knowledge of holistic and sustainable living, AND diabetes from--unfortunately, necessarily--cheap, processed foods (read: McDonald's syndrome) diets. I am from Dallas, but live in Seattle: are there any members in the Columbia City/CD, Rainier Valley area? D
I will come by and get some greens soon. Let me know where you are located.
Take care,
David
Congratulations on this, this sounds great. BTW - I noticed in the African-American Business Catalogue that you sent me in the mail that John Jeannot passed away. When did this happen? How? and where is he buried? Let me know.
