Several issues need to be evaluated and tested against particular requirements when starting a career in the Food & Agribusiness sector. In previous posts, we have discussed some of these issues, such as

In all the hoopla about Whole Foods, we realize that the best way to stay powerful is to spend locally. Thank you for organizing this and being in existence now when we need a clear alternative. People will always yield to power and then be surprised when they get a kick in butt.
This is a good time to re-post and tell us how to get some of those greens. Continue

One of the most asked questions about this project is, why are we attempting to do so many things at the same time? For example, we are planting and growing vegetables, while managing our own inner-city farmers market. This is being done in addition to publishing the only African American Business Directory in the state, and continuing to promote a community based endowment fund committed to preserving small inner-city businesses.

Thanks to everyone who came out to help on the farm yesterday! We planted 24 rows of Champion Collards and 11 rows of Green Wave Mustard greens. We planted over a third of the upper section of the field. The tables in the greenhouse are well on their way to being built.
We'll be going out every Saturday now, so if you didn't get to go this weekend, you'll have the opportunity to get out there when you have the time. We'll be meeting at New Hope Baptist Church at 9am and driving out to the farm.… Continue

Say there!
Anyone want to have greens delivered? I know I sure would. I am willing to stop and deliver your greens to you on my way home in South Everett. Gas money can be worked out. Or, I am sure willing to offer gas money to you if you like, or we could each take turns retrieving greens from South Seattle monthly.
luckymargie1@yahoo.com Just email me with your ideas please. And do the blog comment...

Each week I will write to you, the members of clean greens and express what I feel is the urgency of the times which make necessary our efforts to grow and harvest fresh food for our inner-city community. Today I want to begin by thanking Whole Food Stores, for their support. On April the 22nd our project was given 5% of the total sales from their four stores in this region. Thanks again Whole Foods.
On the 18th of April we had scheduled our first planting, however due to the fact that the land… Continue
