The following is a letter from Jeri White, Executive Director of Southeast Youth and Family Services (SEYFS), noting how Clean Greens' giveback program has assisted local families in need over the past two years.
With your support of our CSA program, we could expand our giveback program to assist even more families!
Dear Dr. Jeffrey and Ms. Cross;
On behalf of the Board of Directors, staff and clients of Southeast Youth and Family Services (SEYFS), I would like to thank you your willingness to work with us over the past few years as a partner in your Clean Greens Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Program. Thanks to this partnership, we have been able to provide boxes of produce for a total of 42 women and 160 children for the ten week growing season over the past two years. As you know, we augmented the produce boxes by adding chickens to the boxes each week.
SEYFS provides mental health counseling, case management and family support services to youth and their families in King County. The vast majority of the families served by our agency are low income, and without the means to partake in many of the opportunities available in our city. Many are unable to meet their basic needs of food, clothing and shelter. Many are also unable to obtain assistance for their social and health needs. Our partnership with Black Dollar Days Task Force (BDDTF), and your donation of vegetable boxes, helps us as we endeavor to provide basic services and opportunities to our clients.
Thank you again your donation. Please feel free to contact me if you would like to make additional donations, or if you or someone you know would like information on our organization in order to receive services, contribute or assist us.
Jeri R. White, LICSW, CMHS, EMMHS
